H.264 is a new generation digital video compression format after MPEG4 jointly proposed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It is a high-performance video coding and decoding technology. H.264 is a highly compressed digital video codec standard proposed by the Joint Video Team (JVT) jointly formed by the ITU-T Video Coding Expert Group (VCEG) and the ISO/IEC Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG).
